Beesley Family Tree
The Beesley family can be traced back for eight generations to William BEESLEY from Aldwincle, Northamptonshire who was born in 1710, William BEESLEY (junior) 1745, and James BEESLEY 1770.
John BEESLEY born in 1794 in Great Catworth, Huntingdonshire. John’s first wife Amy Dickens produced 6 children and presumably died as he was remarried in 1842 to Ann Murphy.
John BEESLEY (junior) was born in early 1844 in Eaton Socon, Bedfordshire, one of two children from his father’s second wife, Ann Murphy. In 1864 he married Amy Harwood HAMER. They had two boys, John and Thomas and then in 1868 they emigrated to Bradford, Rock, Wisconsin, USA where they had three more children. He died in early 1911 at the age of 67.
Thomas J BEESLEY was born on 26th November 1867 in Staploe, Bedfordshire. His parents moved the family to Bradford, Rock, Wisconsin, USA soon after, where he spent his childhood and early adult years. In 1891, at the age of 24 he returned to Bedfordshire, married Alice HARRISON from Wilden, took over High Farm and became a farmer. They had 11 children, 4 boys and 7 girls but one girl died in her infant years. He died in September 1957 at the age of 89.

Thomas BEESLEY (junior) was born, the fifth of 11 children, at High Farm, Wilden, Bedfordshire on 11th June 1908 and eventually took over the farm from his father. In 1951 he met and married Sybil HOWARD and had one child, Joan, before getting divorced about 5 years later. He died April 1986 at the age of 77.

Joan BEESLEY (Burnett) born in 1951 and educated at Greenford Grammar, going on to train as a Chiropodist at Paddington College. Also worked as an archivist at the Bodleian Library in Oxford. Married Ian Lee in 1972 and had two girls, Penny and Jess.
