Terms & Conditions
The CE mark
All toys sold within the EU, including handmade
toys, must be CE marked, and must comply with the requirements laid out
in the Toy Safety Directive. We are proud that we can say our toys
meet these requirements. Each toy
has been checked for stability under
tension, flammability, chemical composition and risk of causing choking.
They must also be retested once the item has been washed. These
tests are the same for small scale crafters as it is for big brands.
It is important to remember that these tests do not ensure the toys are not a hazard in any way and do not take into account general wear and tear. It is therefore important to regularly check your toy for any damage before giving to your child and never leave them alone to play with any toy. Washing may also have an effect on the toy and although I recommend washing methods with all my products, the variety of conditions during washing mean that I cannot be held responsible for any damage your toy incurs. For all of my items I recommend that they are hand or machine washed on a gentle cycle, washing the toy in a pillow case will help to keep it as good as new.

Due to the time I have invested in designing my products and ensuring they pass their CE tests my designs are protected by copyright. I am more than happy for crafters to reproduce my items for themselves only, I produce some craft kits, if there are any you would like to see then please contact me. Sharing images through sites such as Facebook do not contradict these laws as long as they remain under the business name of Baby Bee Stitch. Directly copying or altering any designs for monetary gain will breech these copyright laws and legal action will be taken.
Privacy Policy
Any details exchanged between the buyer and myself will not be disclosed to any third parties. This includes any enquiries made through the website, email or any social networking site.
Returns
Under the EU Distance Selling Directive you have the right to return your goods. The goods must be returned in a new and unused condition, proof of postage must be retained by the sender as they have responsibility for the item until it is returned. If your item does not make it to you in a perfect condition then please let me know and I will be happy to offer a refund or replacement.
Commission pieces or personalised items cannot be returned unless damaged upon receipt.
Keepsakes - Safety & Returns Policy
Please note that I do not sell keepsakes as toys. I try to make sure all my items are safe enough to pass the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive but as these keepsakes are made from a material out of my control it is difficult to give them CE certification without burning or pulling them apart! I therefore cannot sell them as toys but I do use the same safe stuffing and double stitch as I do with all my items. All my items are made to a high standard, I am an experienced embroiderer and perfectionist so if you're not 100% happy please contact me.
As keepsakes are custom made they cannot be returned. If your item has been damaged in transit, you will be refunded but please provide photos in order for me to claim compensation from Royal Mail. If you think your keepsake is not as perfect as you would like please contact me with photos and I will do my best to remedy the problem.
