Computer Software - Communication Software

These are specialist programs that allow your computer to communicate with another computer or device. Usually extra hardware such as a network card or a modem is needed.


Examples: Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator (for browsing the Internet and reading the pages), Internet Mail or Outlook Express (for writing, sending and receiving email), pcAnywhere (for connecting two computers directly via the telephone line), Supervoice (for telephone dialling and answer phone service), QV-link (for linking to a digital camera)
