PDF CREATOR
===========

A utility to convert any document into Adobe Acrobat Reader (.PDF) format. It is simply a printer driver so so will work with almost anything - 'if you can print it' then 'you can convert it to a pdf'. Once installed you just select File/Print from the programs menu bar and select 'PDFCreator' from the list of printers. It will then ask you for a filename and will save the file rather than send it to an actual printer.

The most common use will be the conversion of text documents so I have created a toolbar button for use in Microsoft Word. This is simpler to use and also saves messing about changing the printer driver to create the pdf document and then changing it back when you do actually need to print something. Open the file 'pdfcreator.doc' and follow the instructions provided.

The unzipped download contains a ready-made RM Connect 3 package which you can copy into the usual place on the server and allocate it in the normal way. For other networks or for installing on a single machine simply locate and run the msi file found within the package. This package was kindly provided by Adam Tate at St Chads Catholic High School.
