The pupils in Year 7 were asked if they have various ICT facilities at home. The survey was performed entirely electronically starting with a questionnaire on our web pages. The responses were sent by email, then converted into a database and the following graphical displays created to show the results:
Key: | A | = Yes | Total number of pupils in survey = 199 | |
B | = No |
It is interesting to note that the number of pupils with a computer at home has remained at around 75% since a similar survey carried out in 1991.
However, peripheral hardware has increased.
Access to the Internet at home is just trailing behind satellite
TV, and almost half of these homes have got both.
