1. Which letter in the alphabet would be drawn by using the following commands to control a pen? Assume that the pen starts off in an upward direction.

FORWARD 25
RIGHT 90
FORWARD 25
RIGHT 90
FORWARD 25
RIGHT 90
FORWARD 25
RIGHT 90
FORWARD 50

2. Write a complete sentence in normal language to describe exactly what the command RIGHT 90 is telling the computer to do.
3. Rewrite the above list of instructions simplifying it to 5 lines only.
4. Write a list of instructions to draw this isosceles triangle (all sides and angles are equal):
5. A computer program can be used in a similar way to control the movement and operation of a paint sprayer in a car factory.

(a) State two reasons why this is better than doing the job by hand.
(b) State the main problem caused by the use of robotic technology in a car factory.

6. State one example of where control (or robotic) technology can be seen on the street.
7. Describe one example of where control (or robotic) technology has to be used as it would otherwise be impossible or extremely dangerous to do the job by any other method.
